Today we venture into the great Pacific Northwest, where we (Dana, Maddie, Daniel and me; Clay, Alex, Sophia and Fiona) will rendevous with Mom and Dad for a birthday cruise through Alaska on the Norwegian Star. But for the unhappy discovery that NCL now serves Pepsi rather than Coke ;), we are all quite excited about a reunion set to glaciers and spectacular wildlife.
Since Internet service on the Star may be spotty, expensive, or both, I am providing a shot of our ship that I am not responsible for taking. Lovely, though, isn't it? The itinerary: Seattle for a day, embarkation, cruising the "inside passage" on July 18th (aka Mom's 65th birthday!), Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway in Alaska, and Prince Rupert in British Columbia. We all return to Seattle for a day, at which point Mom and Dad head home, Clay, Alex and the girls enjoy the city for a couple of days, and the Gallup family sets out for the coast of Washington and Oregon.
Posts and photos to follow as Internet access allows. Thanks for coming with us on another of our journeys across these fifty states.
